My artwork strives to create experiences that are both disturbing and strangely reassuring, bridging the gap between the ridiculous with whatever lays at the other end. It exists within the border zone of realities; the intersection of existential dread and childhood wonder; the cross-pollination of internet folktales and lived experiences.
I dissect the aesthetics of disorientation and the weird using sound, light, theater and digital anthropology, reassembling those elements into something grotesque, playful, and oddly tender. My greatest inspirations are ultimately equal parts dreamcore, surreal settings, liminal spaces, the necrotic nostalgia of vaporwave, and the vintage cartoons’ distortion. The goal isn’t to replicate innocence but to replicate how memory warps innocence.
Consider it a form of treatment for the collective dissociation of the internet. Or maybe a sophisticated coping strategy wrapped in playful absurdity. Either way, you’re invited to linger in the discomfort.
